I want to start a new Youtube channel under the name Primo Productions (for example), and at the start of each video I want a logo still featuring a Primo Productions logo. No you do not have to copyright it, as it will be copyrighted automatically when you create it. However, if there is another organization called primo, they already hold the copyright, making it illegal for you to use it.
However, if they are in an entirely different industry, where there is no chance of the two brands being confused (say, you make movies, they make industrial floor wax, for example) you may be able to use it regardless
